Less than five minutes after replying to PayPal’s Standard Threatening Form Letter, we receive a “bounce”.

‘We want to help you but we’re not able to respond directly to emails sent to this address. ”

Yes, that’s right dear reader, the latest trick in the Evil PayPal arsenal, is to refuse correspondence to the email address from whence their demand came.

Oh, and in case you are wondering the email address is service@paypal.com

Imagine if your bank, sent you a letter, demanding payment for something, and in that letter it said “Oh, and by the way, do not write back to us”

Well, if you have PayPal as your bank, then you need imagine no more. Isn’t it time you switched from PayPal?

We forward the email to the email address that does work – chargeback-response@paypal.com – and let them know that their communication system is broken. They never reply. How discourteous!
